On Wednesday, Oct. 9, Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Universal CityWalk will be open until 2 p.m. and will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 10. Universal Studios Hollywood has announced that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be featured at the upcoming Fan Fest Nights, debuting in Spring 2025 – featuring experiences with the Magical Creatures from the Wizarding World. Not much information was shared about what the experiences will entail, but Universal did tease that a Niffler encounter will be featured. Universal Orlando has released a new Jurassic World Gyrosphere popcorn bucket. The Gyrosphere also features a sleeping baby raptor and is available at Universal Orlando for $29.99, which includes one free popcorn fill. The popcorn bucket can be found throughout both parks. Due to the threat of Hurricane Helene, Universal Orlando has announced more operational changes for the resort. Halloween Horror Nights will be canceled for Thursday, Sept 26. The 2 theme parks will adhere to their original operating hours, with Universal Studios Florida closing at 5 pm and Islands of Adventure closing at 8 pm. CityWalk will close early at 8 pm. Due to the threat of Hurricane Helene, Universal Orlando has announced operational changes for the resort. Volcano Bay will be closed on Thursday, Sept 26, and anticipates the water park will reopen on Friday, Sept 27. The rest of the Resort, as well as Halloween Horror Nights, will continue operations and hours as normal at this time. Universal is monitoring the hurricane’s track and will update if necessary.
