Universal Orlando is celebrating the debut of Universal Pictures’ highly anticipated film Wicked: For Good with the introduction of new props, costumes, and merchandise at Wicked: The Experience, opening today.
This morning, we were invited to preview the immersive new experience ahead of its public opening.
Located at Universal Studios Florida, Wicked: The Experience invites guests to step into the world of Wicked before the film’s release in theaters on November 21. The retail experience features displays inspired by the movie, including authentic film props, costumes, exclusive photo opportunities, and an extensive selection of themed merchandise celebrating the sequel to the beloved musical-turned-blockbuster.
Guests can explore an array of Wicked: For Good products, ranging from apparel and accessories to home décor, plush collectibles, and bag charms, available exclusively at Universal Orlando – including the new Glinda Training Wand (available for $65).
A selection of limited-time, Wicked-inspired culinary offerings will be available throughout the resort. Among the highlights are the Yellow Road Shake, featuring Dulce de Leche ice cream, and the Wizard’s Elixir Shake, crafted with Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream – both available at Schwab’s Pharmacy. AT Emerald City Eats, located just to the left of the entrance of Wicked: The Experience, guests can order the Emerald City Focaccia (House-made focaccia sandwich with basil pesto, sliced mortadella, eggs, and Sage Derby cheese), which is a great breakfast sandwich to start the day.
Over at Toothsome’s Chocolate Emporium, guests can order the “Wicked: For Good Sundae”$18.00), which features strawberry & mint chip ice cream with OREOS, pink chocolate crisp, chocolate pop rocks, ganache, strawberry sauce, whipped topping, chocolate butterfly, and a strawberry and mint chip ice cream sandwich.
Guests may also have the opportunity to encounter Elphaba and Glinda during unscheduled appearances throughout the day. These surprise interactions are not timed or guaranteed but are sure to attract a long line when they appear.
