In part two of our behind-the-scenes preview of Halloween Horror Nights, we’ll take a look at Creepshow, also located on the Universal metro sets. You can check out part one here, where we preview Ghostbusters. Based on the 1982 horror anthology film as well as Shudder’s upcoming television series, the maze follows three of the stories from the original film – “Father’s Day”, “The Crate”, and “They’re Creeping Up on You!” – in addition to two stories from the television series – “Grey Matter” and “Bad Wolf Down”. Guests enter a facade designed to look like a giant Creepshow comic…

Yesterday afternoon, Inside Universal was graciously invited for a behind-the-scenes tour of some of the mazes that will be featured at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights: Ghostbusters, Creepshow, and Killer Klowns from Outer Space. In the first part of our behind-the-scenes preview, we’ll take a look at Ghostbusters. Though most would not consider it to be a horror franchise due to its emphasis on comedy, Creative Director John Murdy made it a point that Ghostbusters also features a number of horror elements – including the iconic library ghost and terror dogs – giving it an unexpectedly fitting spot at Halloween…

The Triwizard Spirit Rally performance, which is featured in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, has received some minor changes. As of August 5, 2019 – the gymnast Beauxbaton role has been silently eliminated from the show. To fill in the gaps where the gymnast would be performing across the stage, some new blocking for the dancers has been added in place as you can watch in our video down below. No reason for the change has been given. https://youtu.be/8NdK9Dq98g0 We would like to thank all of the performers for their tireless dedication to bringing the Wizarding World to life…
After a nearly ten-month refurbishment, Jurassic World: The Ride is officially open to the public. The water ride follows a new storyline featuring a mixture of both familiar and brand-new dinosaur animatronics, giving a relatively fair balance between the nostalgia of the iconic Jurassic Park franchise and the sleek, modern look of the Jurassic World films. Though the ride already officially opened to the public on a soft note nearly two weeks ago, Universal made sure that the ride would get an opening to make history for the press to both capture and witness for themselves. Of course, there is…

Universal Studios Hollywood has opened Jurassic World: The Ride for technical rehearsals, also known as a soft opening. For those unfamiliar, a “Soft Opening” is essentially a technical rehearsal of a new attraction or a final release candidate test for the ride. All the major components are installed and operational but some tweaks, changes, and updates will occur prior to the grand opening. As of now, Universal has yet to announce an official opening date. “Soft Openings” are never promised. There is no guarantee the ride will be opening. The ride might only open for a period of time, all…

“Life finds a way” as Jurassic World: The Ride and its surrounding area come to the end of their 9-month refurbishment transitioning the themeing from that of Jurassic Park to the hit Jurassic World franchise. Though the mini-land will still look familiar to fans and guests alike who have visited prior to the renovation – as the structural framework still remains the same for the most part – Jurassic World sports a new, refreshing look inspired by the first film that will not fail to satisfy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88aFdpv5bnM&t=1s The most noticeable change to the area at first glance is evidently the…
