July 5, 2014 – As Inside Universal first noted back in April, the Lower Lot arcade has completed its transformation into a Starbucks venue.

Once a small arcade, the area has since been transformed into a quick serve Starbucks, offering a variety of espressos, coffee, smoothies, refreshers, pastries and chocolate drinks. Similarly, the venue also offers a quick grab-and-go drink station filled with bottled water, smoothies and canned drinks. Snack baskets also line the small interior queue as guests gather to wait and order their drinks on the right hand side

Internally, the room has been redecorated with wood accents and stylized golden ceiling tiles, following the design scheme of many Starbucks worldwide (however, unlike its more independent peers, this Starbucks location does not offer free Wi-Fi). Though small, the location encourages patrons to grab snacks and drinks as they wait to order, with a traditional counter flanking the front of the room. Externally, small benches have been integrated with the building, allowing guests to sit outside the venue whilst the remainder of their parties reside inside.

Part of a larger comprehensive plan to add Starbucks at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort, this Lower Lot addition coincides with the recent opening of Cinnabon in the former Finlays location – furthering Universal’s push of adding household brands amongst the park’s restaurant offerings.
