The official Horror Nights Twitter account revealed the new maze, which will feature 2 of the most iconic characters in horror and sci-fi history. The house will be brought to life inside one of Universal Studios Florida’s sound stages and will put guests in the center of the battle between the 2.

“The introduction of AVP into the immensely popular ‘Halloween Horror Nights’ is further proof of the indelible mark this incredibly powerful franchise has left on fans and the horror genre itself.  Bringing AVP to life in a new maze is a perfect way to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the film as well as mark the 35th anniversary of Alien, the film that started it all, and etched in our collective psyche the meaning of modern terror,” said Greg Lombardo, vice president of global live and location based entertainment at Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products. “We’re thrilled to be working with Universal Studios to create mazes in Orlando and Hollywood that will bring fans face-to-face with the horrifying and iconic characters of AVP. The technology being leveraged will surely be a new benchmark and provide a uniquely terrifying and visceral encounter that puts guests right in the middle of an epic extraterrestrial battle for survival.”

According to Universal, the house will take place inside a Weyland-Yutani research facility that deals with bio-weapons. This Central American bio-weapons research facility houses several divisions that deal in extra-terrestrial technologies, specifically the Alien xenomorph species. Recently received surveillance shows the facility has been compromised by the Yautja—commonly known as Predators—who are relentlessly hunting the Aliens AND any thing in their path. Weyland-Yutani was featured in the popular Alien franchise as the “evil” company looking to make the Xenomorph, or Alien, into a weapon.

Some scenes featured in the house will be an egg nursery, featuring the iconic facehuggers and chestburster victims, as well as a scene which should emulate the popular spine-rip scene from “Body Collectors: Collections of the Past” that features a Predator ripping the spine out of his victim.

“When attempting to bring two of the most iconic creatures ever put on film to ‘Halloween Horror Nights,’ you need to rely on everything you’ve learned up to this point” said Michael Aiello, Director of Entertainment – Creative Development, Universal Orlando Resort.  “We’re employing our full arsenal of tricks and techniques in translating the AVP: Alien vs. Predator brand into an authentic and horrific maze experience. Puppetry, elaborate costumes and unique environments have all been created in close collaboration with Twentieth Century Fox. Our guests are going to be thrown head first into this epic battle where only the strong will survive. This is truly going to be an out-of-this-world maze experience that the fans have been waiting for.”

The house will also be featured in Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood.

In addition to “Alien Vs Predator”, Halloween Horror Nights will feature “The Purge:  Anarchy”, “The Walking Dead:  The End of the Line,” “From Dusk Till Dawn” and “Face Off: In the Flesh.”

On 28 select nights from September 19 through November 1, guests will explore eight blood curdling haunted houses, navigate multiple spine-chilling street experiences with terrifying “scareactors,” enjoy two outrageous live shows and experience many of Universal Studios Florida’s most exciting rides and attractions.

    Event nights are as follows:

    • September 19, 20, 25, 26, 27 and 28
    • October 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30 and 31
    • November 1
