Universal Orlando reveals more details for Fast & Furious – Supercharged; Opening Spring 2018

Universal Orlando has revealed more information on the new Fast & Furious – Supercharged attraction – opening Spring 2018 – including a look at the queue & ride vehicle.

Tej (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges) and Mia (Jordana Brewster) will join the cast of the attraction, which includes Dom (Vin Diesel), Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), Roman (Tyrese Gibson) and the villain, Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), in all-new setting and story.

The attraction is based in “underground headquarters of the “Fast family.”

Inside the queue, guests will see familiar places inspired by the films, like the Family Room – complete with photos of the Fast family – and Tej’s high-tech War Room.

The setting for the ride finds guests being invited to attend a race after-party and Tej arranges for a custom party bus to get you there. As you make your way to the party, Dom calls with an urgent message. Owen Shaw is headed your way. A high-speed chase ensues, and you must rely on the Fast family to lead you to safety.

The queue, which will also use the virtual line system, will feature 15 Fast & Furious cars. Each vehicle, including Dom’s iconic Dodge Charger and Letty’s Turbo Truck, has been crafted by Dennis McCarthy, the man behind the cars for the Fast & Furious films.

The ride vehicle – a.k.a The Party Bus – looks very similar to the vehicle type used for Skull Island: Reign of Kong.

In addition, there will be photo opportunities with cars from the film, The Fate of the Furious, after you exit the ride, as well as “Family Forever” merchandise in the gift shop.

Stay tuned to Inside Universal for more on Fast & Furious – Supercharged, and more around Universal Parks & Resorts.
