Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando has announced that they will be celebrating the beginning of the new academic year with “Back to Hogwarts,” a seasonal celebration through September 1, that invites guests and fans to experience the magic of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and flaunt their house pride: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. Special “Back to Hogwarts” school bundles are available for purchase, including backpacks and journals themed to their preferred Hogwarts house, as well as a Hedwig owl plush. Universal Orlando has transitioned the All Hallows’ Eve Boutique in Islands of Adventure to become the “Boardwalk Bootique”, featuring Lil Boo and Halloween Horror Nights 33 merchandise. The store is located in the Lost Continent, and transitions throughout the year; selling seasonal merchandise. The Boardwalk Bootique is themed to a “Boardwalk Circus” at the Hudson Pier, where Lil Boo is “appearing live”. Additional Horror Nights 33 merchandise also debuted, mostly featuring Lil Boo. Universal Studios Hollywood has announced a new Hello Kitty and Friends-themed cafe and shop is heading to CityWalk Hollywood. The Hello Kitty & Friends Cafe and Sanrio Smile Shop will open at CityWalk, but no opening timeframe was given. The cafe and shop are expected to replace the Francesca’s and Chick Chick Chicken locations. No additional information has been provided at this time.
