Booking has now opened for Universal Orlando’s 5th resort, Sapphire Falls.  Guests can start booking their vacation for anytime after July 14th, 2016 – which means this most likely will be the resort’s opening date.

Prices for a standard room in July are around $229. The price drops into the mid-$140’s for off-season dates. Below is Universal’s description of expected pricing:

Pricing:  Value season rates start at $119 per night for a seven-night stay or $143 per night for a four-night stay, and summer season rates start at $176 per night for a seven-night stay or $206 per night for a four-night stay.  Packages will be available soon.

Announced last September, the 1,000 room Loews Sapphire Falls will have an island vibe with modern amenities heavily inspired by the “picturesque rivers and waterfalls of the Caribbean.”

Guests will be captivated by a vivid retreat that evokes a free-spirited, Caribbean sense of ease with a modern yet timeless feel. The unforgettable island escape will feature Universal Orlando’s largest on-site, zero-entry pool at 16,000 square-feet, with a white sand beach, a water slide, cabanas and a fire pit.

Dining options will include Amatista Cookhouse, a Caribbean-inspired restaurant with open exhibition kitchen and outdoor dining; Strong Water Tavern, a destination lobby lounge overlooking the hotel’s towering waterfalls and offering a tapas-style menu; Drhum Club Kantine, a poolside bar and grill serving freshly-grilled fare and specialty cocktails; New Dutch Trading Co., a quick-service marketplace; and 24-hour room service.

With the addition of the new resort, Universal has also announced changes for their hotel categories. Per the official website:

Prime Value – Stylish resorts with family suites and rooms designed for fun and affordability.

    • Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort

Preferred – Relaxing getaways offering the perfect blend of resort conveniences and amenities.

    • Loews Sapphire Falls Resort
    • Loews Royal Pacific Resort

Premier – Beautiful escapes offering distinguished service, spacious accommodations, and one-of-a-kind experiences.

    • Hard Rock Hotel
    • Loews Portofino Bay Hotel
