After announced the opening date for Pandora – The World of Avatar, Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed another opening timeframe during The Walt Disney Company Shareholders meeting – as Star Wars Land is expected to open in 2019 at both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disneyland.
The expansion is the largest-ever, single-themed land expansions at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts. At each location, guests will be transported to a never-before-seen planet – a remote trading port and one of the last stops before wild space – where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life.
The 14-acre expansion is set to include an attraction based on the Millennium Falcon, as well as one that has guests encounter the First Order as they are caught in the middle of a battle between stormtroopers and Resistance fighters. Other details and specifics are scarce, but we can expect to hear more soon!
