January 12, 2015 – Given the rapid pace of construction within the park, we’d thought we’d take a Hollywood Minute to give you a quick update on some of Universal’s largest ongoing projects.

    Let’s get started!

    1 » Lankershim Pedestrian Bridge

As 2016 draws near, construction crews have begun making visible progress on the new Lankershim pedestrian bridge that will connect guests directly to the Universal City Metro station across the street.

With construction for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter ticking along, Universal has painted the adjacent Shrek 4D show building to match Hogsmeade’s brick facade. A steel structure for Hogwarts castle has also been placed on top of Forbidden Journey’s ride building.

    3 » Springfield Takes Shape!

Heading over to Springfield, Universal appears to be putting the finishing touches on the food court’s facade. In the interim period while Louie’s Pizza and Pasta is closed for its Simpsons transformation, guests have been rerouted through Special Effects Stage’s queue directly into Simpsons Plaza.

    4 » Parking Increased to $17

Finally, Universal has raised the price of parking to $17 – up by one dollar.

That does it for us and this quick look at Universal Studios Hollywood. Thanks for reading and we’ll see you in the next update.
