Sahara Traders, the gift shop at the exit of Revenge of the Mummy, has closed as Universal begins to transition the location into a Universal Monsters Tribute Store.
Unfortunately, not much is known – including an opening timeframe other than “Coming Soon”.
The change is temporary while Revenge of the Mummy undergoes its lengthy refurbishment. It is expected that Sahara Traders will be back with a makeover once Revenge of the Mummy is ready to open.
In the meantime, Universal released a line of new Monster-themed scented candles from the Magic Candle Co. that is available for purchase for $20.
Potions Pretorious (Frankenstein) – features top notes of toasted almonds and smokey embers; middle notes of dried tobacco leaf and climbing myrtle; atop base notes of vanilla patchouli, and dandelion root.
Phantom’s Chamber (Phantom of the Opera) – features top notes of green dew, melon, and marine mist; middle notes of sweet grass, lily stems, and old books; with a base of crushed moss warm musk, and leathered wood.
Full Moon Caravan (Wolfman) – features top notes of fresh linen, worn leather, and crisp dew; middle notes of sweet forest pine, foxglove, and crushed cloves; atop of base of silver birch, spiced vanilla, and warm amber.
Sahara Sunset (The Mummy) – features top notes of sweet citrus, lemon peel, and sparkling bergamot; middle notes of cactus flower, prickly pear, and lotus blossom; atop a base of green coconut, cashmere, and black oud.
